Love this place.Chef Telmo does a great job bringing tastes from the motherland over to the western side of the US. Though not being totally traditional, the flavors respect the original Portuguese dishes in ingredients and overall taste. Good wine selection too.
portuguese food and the scene at this place is excellent. The service was very friendly and attentive. The place has an awesome atmosphere.
I LOVE this place!!! The food and atmosphere are amazing!! I have been to Portugal many times and am a pro/America and this place makes me feel like home! Try everything, trust me it’s all good!!! Don’t forget the Pastel de Nata!!! Knock your socks off good!!!!
Everything was pretty good and fairly authentic. My favorites were the pork with clams & chorizo stew, bacalau casserole, and grilled octopus. Pass on the natas, pricey for size and just meh. Service and hospitality were impeccable!! For 2 adults + 2 kids, we ate really well!5 appetizers + 3 main dishes + 1 beer + 2 desserts = $185 w/o tip
Everything was delicious and service was great. We had the fish of the day, branzino, which was ridiculously good. Also the Gambas Moçambique, and the salt cod potato fritters.
The food was excellent and the service was great as well. I’d recommended sharing a few dishes family style. We ordered an entree, a small dish and an appetizer, and it was a good amount of food for two people.
The food and ambiance were fine. Their pastel de nata is too sweet as well as all their desserts. Nothing too outstanding here except they don't have a/c and can get warm quickly.
portuguese food and the feeling here is very good. Got there about three, it wasn't crowded. I had a brother come into town and asked me to take him back here.
We opted for the family style pre fixe. Portion sizes were respectable. Sardinhas were succulent. Grilled octopus was tasty. Braised beef sopas was the highlight of the meal. Tender and full of flavour accompanied with veg and soup drenched bread...outstanding. Salad a tad salty. Friendly service and traditional atmosphere.
pastéis de bacalhau & all Portuguese good eats, not to mention the 🇵🇹 wine list
INCREDIBLE!!!! We had been to Portugal a few years ago and fell in love. Coming to uma casa brought all of the joy of Portugal back! Happen to come during restaurant week and did the tasting menu (super affordable). Food was amazing, staff was friendly, and the dessert was on par. Will be back here soon.
I want to say it’s my first time trying Portuguese it was absolutely delicious. It’s a shareable place I feel u order more than one entree and u share because it’s different and you want to taste the flavores I highly recommend it
Portuguese food and service here is above par. i love this place always quality food & service. nothing but enjoyable experiences here. the bill was good for how much you get. ambience reminds me of colorado springs area.
Beautiful interior, modern with character. Our wine was so-so but food made up for it. Generous portions and tasty overall.
Portuguese food and the setting at this place is super good. Honestly my favorite evening place. Staff treated us so kindly. It has an awesome feel to it. This place has many great reviews for a reason.
Love this Portuguese food. Service was excellent and nice atmosphere. Portguese egg tarts are the best!
The food was excellent and the service was great as well.
Went there for a Portuguese wine dinner hosted by Rachel Farah. The food and Hospitality were superb, as of course were the wines. I definitely have the intention of returning to this restaurant to sample some of their regular food all of which looked delicious when I saw it coming out of the kitchen.
Grabbed dinner w/friends on Sunday night. Four of us are the first-timer for Portuguese food.Ambience 5- stars: cute mediterranean style decor. Service 5-stars: the servers are attentive and friendly and the complimentary housemade chips were delicious.Ordered/ 4 ppl**Rissois de camarão (shrimp turnover): thumbs up for the savory shrimp and the spicy pirl-pril aioli **Polvo Dourado (octopus): crusted octopus is awesome, however, it was a little sour.**Bacalhau Gomes De sa(salt cod w/potatoes, egg): the caramelized onion is the point!**Costeleta A Alentejana(pork chop w/clam): can’t believe the pork chop works harmoniously with clams.Bife a cavalo(ribeye w/fried egg): highlight for the garlic- malagueta sauce. Portuguese custard tart: I got spoiled by the Macao Portuguese tart, but the authentic Portuguese custard also has a different flavor. Overall experience: 5/5
We had our company holiday event here and this place, these folks were amazing. Totally recommended.
Great Portuguese restaurant... Warm and cozy place, food is authentic and reasonably priced. Selection of seafood, meat and vegetable dishes. The octopus is really well done. (Only downside I would caution is that acoustics are challenging and it gets really noisy. Your ears will need a break. Restaurant should consider some soft fabrics to break the resonance.)
portuguese food and the atmosphere at this place is excellent. Nothing but enjoyable experiences here. The place has a cool feel to it. Feeling here is similar to a cafe in San Jose I liked.
Was expecting a little more from this place but unfortunately came out disappointed. The place itself is very nice. The food seemed overpriced for what it was, and lacked flavor. The service was good from who we thought was our waiter but seemed to be the host and part waiter, the other waiter who took our order seemed to shy and was missing interest in really selling us on the overall dining experience.
Food was tasty and service was delightful.
Went here for happy hour and had a great time - best sangria's in SF!
We visited for the first time for the dinner and Fado Night. The food was amazing, service awesome. Show was great. Wine list was impressive. Had the pleasure of meeting the chef, he even made sure to call us a taxi to take us back to the hotel. Not only was he humble, but he was kind as well.
Unique feel and food. Good ingredients, nice service, never seems to be a line either. Definitely a nice neighborhood spot to check out. Tasting menu (more like a prix fixe) seems fun too, though you need the whole table to go in on it.
We chose small plates to share and it was perfect. The octopus was my favorite. The baby clams were also terrific. Thanks to the advice of waiter we didn't over order so we enjoyed every dish. Left full and satisfied.
One of my favorite restaurants so far.
